The Averard Hotel

The Listeners Project sixth project was at The Averard Hotel, in Lancaster Gate, an empty nineteenth-century mansion house and former hotel currently awaiting renovation. Layers of English Baroque, French Mannerism and Art Deco styles along with mould and crumbling walls gave our four directors an intriguing backdrop for their four dance inspired super shorts.  

 

Directors checked in to the Hotel and were given access to the first two floors with one day to film they and their crew and cast were asked to create a 2min dance film inspired by the walls of the Averard. The films were screened at the same location on September 25th 2016, to an invited audience.
